1967-1972 Chevy Truck RTX Instrument System
The Dakota Digital RTX Instrument System combines classic styling with modern technology to deliver a gauge package that looks right at home in your 1967-1972 Chevy or GMC truck. Designed to fit OEM and reproduction seven-hole dash bezels, the RTX series preserves the original character of the truck while providing the accuracy, customization, and functionality expected from a modern instrument system.
Whether you're building a weekend cruiser, daily driver, LS-powered swap, or high-end custom truck, the RTX system provides a clean factory-inspired appearance backed by advanced electronics, fully programmable displays, and modern vehicle compatibility.
Factory Styling. Modern Capability.
The RTX series features a traditional analog gauge layout with integrated digital technology hidden behind the scenes. The system includes a speedometer, tachometer, oil pressure gauge, water temperature gauge, fuel level gauge, voltmeter, and analog clock, all engineered to deliver accurate readings and dependable performance.
Dual TFT message centers provide access to odometer functions, trip information, clock settings, estimated range, performance data, warning messages, and additional vehicle information without cluttering the dash with extra gauges or displays.
Customizable Display and Lighting
The RTX Instrument System gives builders complete control over the appearance of their gauge package. Choose from more than 30 backlight color options with independent adjustment of gauge illumination, needle lighting, and TFT display colors. Multiple preset themes are available, or create a custom combination to match the interior of your truck.
Adjustable day and night brightness settings ensure excellent visibility in all driving conditions, while optional accessories are available for manual brightness adjustment.
Built for Modern Drivetrains
Unlike traditional gauge systems, the RTX platform is designed to work seamlessly with modern powertrains and electronics. The included control box simplifies installation while providing a centralized location for calibration, programming, and future upgrades.
The system is also compatible with Dakota Digital's mobile app, allowing users to perform setup, calibration, diagnostics, and real-time monitoring directly from a compatible smartphone or tablet.
Expandable System Architecture
As your build evolves, the RTX system can grow with it. Optional Dakota Digital BIM modules allow communication with many modern engine management systems, transmission controllers, GPS systems, and additional sensors. Information can be displayed directly through the built-in message centers without adding separate gauge pods or additional instrumentation throughout the cab.
Optional accessories are available for gear position indication, GPS speed sensing, fuel level sender upgrades, compass functions, outside temperature monitoring, and additional vehicle data integration.
Included Components
Each RTX Instrument System includes the instrument cluster assembly, central control box, pushbutton rocker switch, warning buzzer, oil pressure sender, water temperature sender, cable-driven speed sensor/generator, wiring harnesses, and adapter fittings for common engine applications.
