This fully bolt-on crossmember kit uses Pinto-Mustang suspension components. The stock Mustang is too narrow to fit the 1947-54 Chevy truck correctly. Chassis Engineering has widened the crossmember 2" over the original Mustang and adjusted the pivot points. We include rack extensions to ensure proper fitting of the rack (Let us know if you will be using a power or manual rack.) The overall result is a suspension that is far superior to the original Mustang. No bump steer or other surprises.
The exclusive upper coil spring pods are adjustable giving about a 2-1/2" adjustement. This is the proven best method to fine tune ride height so that the geometry is correct.
Center support rods add important support to the lower strut rod mount.
